School-Age Program

Hours of Operation: 6:30 AM- 6:00 PM

Rainbow River Anza School-Age Center is located on campus of the Juan de Anza Elementary School, Wiseburn School District. We provide high quality before and after-school, summer and holiday care to elementary age children. We believe in the integration of both recreation and education to provide a wide variety of "total experiences" for children and youth.

Kory Higgins

Supervising Director/Program Director

Kory comes from a family of teachers, which is where he acquired a love for teaching and working with children. He is a father of 3 children and strives to be a good role model for his children and all the children at the center. Kory has a degree in Child Development Education and Elementary Education from Cal State Dominguez Hills and a Degree in Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Anna Dyroff      

School Age Director

Anna has been working at Rainbow River since 2000 and loves being a part of the Rainbow Family. She has a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a B.A. in Liberal Studies w/ a minor in Human Development from Cal State Dominquez Hills as well as 21 units in Child Development from El Camino College.

Anushka Goonawardana

Pre-k and School Age Teacher

Anushka has been with Rainbow River since 2008 and enjoys working with children very much. She is very passionate about providing a loving and caring environment for the children at Rainbow River.

Natalie Middleton

School Age Teacher

Working with children is Natalie’s passion.  She has been working with children since 2008 and has over 25 units in child development.

Ana Olivares

Pre-K and School Age Teacher

Ana is a mother of three and a wife of a military veteran. She is passionate about nature (especially bugs) and the arts. She has been with Rainbow since 2009 and takes pride in working with children.

Rita Elizarraraz

School Age Teacher

Rita has been with Rainbow River since 2008.  She enjoys inspiring the kids to reach their ultimate potential, especially in art.  She is also a huge Dodger fan and loves to travel.

Jose Briseno Jr.

School Age Teacher

Jose is very passionate about music and extreme sports.  He plays in a band and enjoys performing.  He has been working with children for some time now and enjoys spending time with them.

Alexis Williams

School Age Teacher

Alexis has been working with children since 2007.  She received her Associates Degree in Child Development in 2009.  Teaching has been her passion since she was in the 4th grade and plans to demonstrate her talents here at Rainbow River.
