Pre-Kindergarten Program

Hours of Operation: 6:30 AM- 6:00 PM

Rainbow River Cabrillo Pre-Kindergarten is located on campus of the Juan Cabrillo Elementary School, Wiseburn School District. We provide Pre-k enrichment program to provide children with the skills to help ensure their success in their school experience. We believe in the integration of both recreation and education to provide a wide variety of "total experiences" for children.

Karla Traylor

Center Director

Karla Traylor has been the Cabrillo LAUP/Pre-k Director for the last 3 1/2 years. She holds a BS in Early Childhood Education and has been working in the field for over 15 years. Knowing the importance of preschool, she strives to provide a positive learning experience for each child in the center.

Darlene Dennis

Teacher

Ms. Dennis has been a part of Rainbow staff for the past seven years and has served as a preschool teacher who teaches in the spirit of excellence.  She has a personal philosophy; people don't care about how much you know until they know how much you care.  She is teacher qualified and continues to pursue all her educational goals.  She is CPR certified and equip with a smile and motivation.

Monica Rios

Teacher

Ms. monica has been working with preschool children for about nine years.  She has been with Rainbow River staff since April 2007 and part of the LAUP program for the past three years.  She currently holds an AA in Child Development and a Site Supervisor Permit.  She is currently taking classes towards her BS in CHild Development.  She enjoys working with children.

Veronica Barbosa

Ms. Veronica has been working at Rainbow River since 2008.  She is CPR certified and enjoys working with children.

Kathy Martinez

Teacher

Ms. Kathy has been working with infant and preschool age children for the past 7 years.  She has been part of the Rainbow River staff since May 2011.  She currently holds an A.A, in Early Childhood Education, Associate Teacher Permit and currently working to obtain a site supervisor permit.  She is CPR and First aid certified.  Kathy is a great leader, motivator and always has a positive spirit and attitude.

Adriana Castaneda

Teacher

Ms. Adriana has been part of the Rainbow River staff since May 2011.  She currently holds a B.A in Child Development and has been working with pre-school children for the last year.  Ms. Adriana is certified in First Aid and CPR.  At the moment, she is working towards her site supervisor permit and her goals are to continue for a higher education in the filed of Child Development.
